About

Loyola High School has a rich historical and visual archive dating back to its beginnings in 1848 at Collège Sainte-Marie. Preparations are ongoing to bring this collection to all who wish to explore Loyola High School’s historical and educational connection to the city of Montreal and to the English Speaking Catholic Community.

Browse Collections will take you to areas of interest, grouped by a time frame or era, which is identified at the beginning of each collection. For example, click “Browse Collections” on the home page and then click “Loyola Beginnings 1848-1893.”

Browse Items will take you to random images from the collections.

Recent Items will also take you to random images from the collections.

The On-Line Archive will expand as more and more collections are uploaded to the site. As there are thousands of photos and text to prepare, the On-Line Archive is a work-in-progress. We invite you to join Loyola and browse its nostalgic and vivid history.
