Description

From 1947 to 1964 Loyola High School remained a part of Loyola College with most of the High School graduates attending and graduating from Loyola College as “Eight-Year Men.”

In 1964 Loyola High School became a separate corporation as did Loyola College and the Loyola Jesuit Community. Each now had its own governing board.

In 1969-70 Loyola High School adds a new wing to the Junior Building to house classrooms, library and cafeteria.

In 1974 Loyola College joins Sir George Williams University to become Concordia University. Loyola High School remained in the Junior Building of what was now called the Loyola Campus of Concordia University.

In 1978 Loyola High School builds a Gymnasium across Sherbrooke Street.
