Lieutenant, died 27 October 1944
October 27th, 1944 was the day on which Lieutenant George Edwin John Clacy of the 12th Manitoba Dragoons (18th Armoured Car Regiment), a part of II Canadian Corps, was killed. At the time, his unit was heavily involved in the bloody battle for clearing the Scheldt Estuary. Clacy died in the struggle for South Beveland. He is interred in Plot 2, Row H, Grave 8 of the Canadian War Cemetery at Bergen-op-Zcom, Netherlands.
