The dream of a new school was quickly picked up by Winston Rye, S.J.
Together with Principal, Frank Obrigewitsch, S.J., Loyola High School and Corcordia came to an agreed exchange of property: The Junior Building became the property of the university while the land at the south-east corner of Sherbrooke Street and West Broadway near to the gymnasium, became the new site for Loyola High School. Nearly 650 students made the move from the Junior Building to the new school at 7272 Sherbrooke Street West for the opening of the school year in 1992.
